Richie James was most definitely a slate breaker on Thursday’s Showdown. As a captain Richie put up an insane 54.6 points on DraftKings which put his value at nearly 182x. An average slate value of 6x will win you almost any main tournament any week of the year. A 182 is the highest value ever posted on DraftKings, ever. The top lineup was only $44,300 and scored 171.54 on Thursday night.
Our player of the week last week was Dalvin Cook who put up 51.6/50.6 pts on DraftKings/FanDuel. Now he is headed for the Detroit Lions who have the 28th worst run defense in the NFL. This could be major chalk this week. Tough to put up numbers like last week, but the setup is there.
Josh Allen is going up against the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. After starting off the season on fire he has been a bit quiet the last few weeks. The Seahawks are in a back and forth battle for the absolute worst defense in the NFL with the Falcons. These two defenses are so bad that the next worse defense allows almost 20% less DFS points than Seattle and Atlanta. Stefon Diggs is the obvious stack, but we’ll have exposure to Brown and Beasley who save on the cap and one of them will likely find the end zone.
Deshaun Watson also has a favorable matchup with the Jaguars (who just so happen to be 3rd worst defense against the QB in the NFL). The Texans have the 2nd highest implied score of 29.25 this week, but this is always a tricky stack. Will Fuller V should be a slightly better value, but both him and Cooks did really well the first time these teams met in week 5.
Kenyan Drake has been ruled out this week and as long as Kyler Murray doesn’t decide to run the ball in 3 times there is some real value here. The Dolphins are the 25th ranked team against the run and give up on average 29.8 points a week to opposing RB’s. Chase should get plenty of touches to hit value and is one of our favorite plays this week with Drake sitting out.
Chase is almost guaranteed a touchdown against the Cowboys and at $5700 could quickly hit value. Feel like we are picking on Dallas as their season has fallen apart in a blink, but feel free to run this pick back with the Steelers who could have be the top defense play of the week as well.
